tasty breakfast

Just an appropriate option for shopping in Colchester with extraordinarily good value for money. The breakfast was tasty, but it took a long time to arrive. Come early for breakfast to avoid the wait.

the location was perfect, everything was within walking distance, the beds were super comfy, and the reception staff, paula and joey, were amazin! they made us feel right at home.

Had a lovely top-floor room, much quieter than the noisy front. the lovely little balcony was a charming surprise!

The lift was more like a sauna, and my room had as much air flow as a sealed jar. Not ideal for a good night's snooze!

Modern vibe with great location

Had a decent stay here! Location is super handy, just a quick stroll from the bus stop. My room was comfy but the air con needed some TLC. Quick breakfast at the George was good enough to kickstart my day. A bit bummed about the stained towels though, wasn’t ideal.

Location is spot on, right on the high street. My room had a comfy bed, iron, kettle, and flat-screen TV. The modern bathroom was clean, with free toiletries and a powerful shower. Staff were super friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The entry system felt really secure, which is nice for peace of mind.
